Bon voyage! Adios! Sayonara! Too da loo! Ffarwell!

No, I didn’t misspell farewell. Ffarwell is goodbye in Welsh. In two weeks I’m leaving for the year-long International Journalism Master’s Degree program at Cardiff University in Cardiff, Wales.

I want to make a difference. I want to be involved in what’s happening in the world. The best way I can do this is by being a journalist and writing in an informed, factual, and insightful manner. My goal is to help people be informed so they can make sound and valuable contributions to their culture, which is why I picked an international program.

Posts tagged “a la Cardiff” will be devoted to analyzing life in Wales. Here I will write about my experiences, the culture of Wales, living and studying with a group of international students, comparing political systems, anything and everything.

Wish me luck, or better yet, wish that my vocabulary lasts 12 months and that there is lactose free milk in the UK.
